A good article from early BOK champion, Jim Santo, of ALTERNATIVE PRESS's late, lamented DEMOUNIVERSE column. Jim also published one of the better, and certainly one of the more important (along with GAJOOB), web sites dedicated to homemade music, JIM SANTO'S DEMOUNIVERSE. Alas, that site is now defunct as well.

Early in his career, Jim had friends write what he usually referred to as 'Obligatory liner notes' for each of his albums. Here is the first of those essays, recently rediscovered, written by Jordan Williams.

There have been several interesting essays written about Jim by fans and friends. This one's by long-time fan and aspiring film-maker, Andrew Neckowitz. It originally appeared in December 1999 fanzine, NOTES FROM UNDERGROUND. And then there's this one by Jordan Williams. Long-time friend, Gary Bugg, published this article several years ago in Harrisonburg High School's paper, the NewsStreak.
