I'll be posting mp3's from various eras in BOK's fifteen year history, most previously released, some not.  Check back when you have the inclination.  There'll be times when I feel like looking around for cool tracks to upload and there'll be times when I don't.  The more obvious it becomes that people want more stuff here, the more I'll upload.

6.19.2010 - I forgot about this site where you can still download BOK/Karl Rove music.  It's all free, but it would be mighty swell of you if you actually showed your appreciation for a lot of music by donating to the site (and this one too!)  You can download the songs in many different forms, including the best (non-lossy) flac format.  Anyhow, here's the short list of addresses:

- 1999 Book of Kills E.P., Welcome To Concrete
-
1999 BOK Fan Club Christmas E.P.
-
2002 Book Of Kills album, Hoggett Heads
-
2004 Live Book Of Kills album, Rockin' The Cheetah's Ass
-
2006 Karl Rove album, The MonkeyClaus Sessions Plus (Funny...a couple days ago, this site said Plus had been downloaded almost 5,000 times.  Today it says slightly under 4,000 times.  Regardless, this is a very popular BOK-oriented download, and rightfully so.)
- 2007 Plague Dogs E.P.,
Free

6.18.2010 - Over the past year or so, a handful of folks who were more or less BOK completists asked that I release my recording of the Outback Lodge gig.  While I doubt that I'll ever release it, here's a cut (another version of "Blue Man", but after all each one was different) from that gig that illustrates some of the problems...poor vocal presence and a rather sloppy performance.  That said, if you like having everything of BOK that you can get your hands on, this is definitely worth listening to.  It's actually a pretty energetic rendering of the song and I suppose proves we didn't play all that badly...at least not compared to the generic shit that came before and after us.  (If memory serves, we were asked to cut our set short.)

6.14.2010 - Although technical difficulties make most of this show un-listenable, the vocals were fixed by the final three songs of this Halloween 2009 evening.  Here they are.

6.07.2010 - At last...the final show.  Go here to listen.

5.26.2010 - I have dozens of unreleased acoustic tracks dating back at least to 1987.  (I'd have stuff available from the late '70s if I could get my reel-to-reel working.)  Most of them I've never put out because I didn't particularly like them for one reason or another.  Anyway, one man's trash is (sometimes) another man's treasure, right?  Here's a previously unreleased acoustic track from May 2006 based loosely on a traditional song which dates probably back to the early 1800s.  I provided my own melody and re-arranged the lyrics here and there.  You can listen or download by clicking here.

5.17.2010 - Here's a pretty hot previously unreleased version of "
Blue Man" from a March 4, 2010 practice.  I've always maintained that most bands play the very greatest versions of their stuff during practices.  So if you've got a chance to hang out with a band that you like while they practice, you're gonna find that you're occasionally gonna be privy to some extra special music.
